Where will I Go?
Your outreach destination could be anywhere from the remote island villages of Fiji, to the cities and villages of Central America, or to the inner cities of the world.
Why Should I go?
The world needs you. People are looking for answers everywhere and yet often we do nothing out of insecurity. The DTS grounds you in the truth of the gospel, as each week you are soaked in reality by international speakers who teach their life message. When you know who God is, and when you know who you are, what can stop you from changing the world? Whether you are a new Christian or have been in ministry for years, this school is for you.
Where will I live?
Our campus is located just outside of the University town of Chico, California. Originally known as Richardson Springs, the rich and famous were drawn here for mineral springs and a hotel/ resort was built. You will be living in dormitory type housing and enjoy many outdoor activities such as hiking, tennis, swimming, volleyball and basketball. After DTS?
When you complete your DTS you are qualified to apply for YWAM staff anywhere around the globe. You also have a variety of school options for more specialized training, and you can pursue a degree in one of the fields offered by the University of the Nations. Many DTS graduates return home to serve God in their personal spheres of influence. Wherever God leads, you will enter the next phase of your life with more confidence in living out the gospel and being an effective witness for Christ.
DTS
The DTS is a gateway into world missions and effective Christian living. It is the entry-level course in the University of the Nations, and you receive up to 20 credits upon completion of the full course. Each aspect of the school is centered on the YWAM motto of Knowing God and Making Him Known. Topics covered in the DTS include The Nature and Character of God, Worship as a Lifestyle, Intercessory Prayer, Hearing the Voice of God, Relationships, World Missions and others. The key to transforming the world is to be transformed yourself. Our purpose is taking the message and applying it in every aspect of life on this planet.
